Sponsors Logano in 20 NASCAR Nationwide Series Races in 2009

GRAPEVINE, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- GameStop Corporation (NYSE: GME), the world’s largest video game and entertainment software retailer, announced today that it has agreed to extend its partnership with Joe Gibbs Racing through the 2009 NASCAR season. Rising star Joey Logano will pilot the No. 20 GameStop Toyota in 20 Nationwide Series events, beginning with the season-opening race at the Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway on February 14, 2009.

“GameStop prides itself on being a company that continually meets new challenges and sets the bar still higher,” said Bob McKenzie, Senior Vice President of Merchandising. “Joe Gibbs Racing and Joey Logano have set a very high bar in NASCAR. Their successes speak for themselves. Joey has shown that he is a force each time he gets into the No. 20 GameStop Toyota, and we are proud to stand by his side as he sets off for even greater achievements.”

Just days after his 18th birthday last year, Logano made his Nationwide Series debut at the Dover (Del.) International Speedway with GameStop as his primary sponsor. The No. 20 GameStop Toyota competed in 16 races in 2008, with Logano garnering one win, five top-5 finishes and three pole awards. His momentous win at the Kentucky Speedway in June made Logano the youngest winner in Nationwide Series history.

“GameStop is the leader of their industry and we’ll seek to deliver the type of results they are accustomed to this season,” said J.D. Gibbs, president of JGR. “We feel that GameStop and Joey Logano make up one of the best sponsor-driver relationships in the Nationwide Series. We’re looking forward to a great season.”

“GameStop stepped up and became a huge part of my rookie season in the Nationwide Series last year,” stated Logano. “That meant a lot to me and Joe Gibbs Racing. I am proud to represent them again in 2009. They are one of the cooler sponsors someone can have.”
