Feel the Love with GameStop's Love Song Contest

Use The Beatles song titles to create a unique song for an opportunity to win a Vegas prize package

GRAPEVINE, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sep. 24, 2009-- GameStop, Corp. (NYSE:GME), the world’s largest video game and entertainment software retailer, today announced a contest based on the titles of The Beatles legendary song catalog – The Beatles Love Song contest. The Beatles wrote some of the most iconic love songs in the history of music. To pay homage to their great writing ability, aspiring writers can pen songs of 100 words or less that use titles from at least 10 songs of The Beatles as part of their submitted entry. Entries will be accepted through Nov. 16, 2009.

The songs will be judged on originality, creativity and display of emotion. All entries will be eligible for daily drawings to win a copy of The Beatles Love album, a Grammy Award-winning soundtrack remix album of music recorded by The Beatles, released in November 2006. The winning song writer will receive:

  • Two tickets to see LOVE by Cirque du Soleil
  • Exclusive behind the scenes tour of LOVE by Cirque du Soleil
  • Roundtrip airfare to Las Vegas, NV for two from anywhere in the United States
  • Accommodations for two at The Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV
