(NYSE:GME), today announced that it will host "Madden Mania" events on Monday, August 11, 2008, at over 3,000 of its U.S. GameStop stores for the launch of MADDEN NFL '09 by Electronic Arts. The festivities mark the beginning of the NFL video game season and celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the game with MADDEN NFL '09 tournaments, tailgate events and a variety of contests leading up to the 12:01 a.m. Tuesday release. Customers who reserved MADDEN NFL '09 will also receive an exclusive coupon playbook worth $50 when they purchase any version of the game from GameStop.

Most participating GameStop locations will begin their parties at 10:00 p.m. local time; however, customers are encouraged to contact their local store to confirm the exact time of the event.
