GameStop Corp. Appoints Steven R. Morgan New President

GRAPEVINE, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 19, 2005--GameStop Corp. (NYSE:GME; GME.B), a leading global video game and entertainment software retailer, announced today that Steven R. Morgan has been promoted to become GameStop's new President.

Morgan has most recently been Electronic Boutique's President of Stores-North America and President-Electronics Boutique Canada. Following more than two decades in executive management positions within Federated Department Stores and May Department Stores, Morgan joined Electronics Boutique in 2001. Electronics Boutique merged with GameStop on October 8, 2005.
